Information We Collect
Murmlings saves your valley to a server so it can be restored after a reinstall or on a new device. To do that it creates an anonymous player ID. There is no sign-up, and we do not collect your name, email address or phone number. The saved data is the state of your valley: its creatures, buildings, progress and score. When a game ends, a summary of that run (species, days survived, peak population, generations, births and score) is added to the Legends leaderboard, where other players can see it without any name attached. We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs in this App.
How We Use Your Information
Any information Murmlings collects is used to provide, maintain, and improve the App, respond to support requests, and, where applicable, confirm purchases or subscriptions made through the App Store. We do not use your personal information for purposes unrelated to operating the App without your consent.
Data Sharing & Third Parties
Nordic Software does not sell your personal information. Murmlings does not use third-party advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs. Two outside parties are involved in operating the App: Supabase, which hosts the saved valleys and the leaderboard on our behalf, and Apple, which processes purchases through the App Store. Leaderboard summaries are visible to other players of the App and contain no personal information.
Data Retention
Your saved valley stays on our server until you reset your valley in the App's settings, which deletes it, or ask us to delete it. Finished-run summaries stay on the leaderboard and contain no personal information; contact us if you would like yours removed. Notifications the App sends are scheduled on your device and are not delivered through a server.
Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Your valley is saved on a server under an anonymous ID. You can delete that saved copy by resetting your valley in the App's settings, and you can ask us to delete anything else at support@nordicsoftware.net.
Tracking Technologies
Murmlings is a native app, not a website, so traditional browser cookies don't apply. The App does not use third-party advertising identifiers or tracking SDKs of any kind.
Children's Privacy
Murmlings is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information handled by Murmlings. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required by law, we take steps to ensure such transfers comply with applicable data protection requirements.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
